Get ready to pop some corks and start celebrating because Thursday, September 13, is the official start to this year’s Fall Wine Festival and we’re taking off with a giant splash. We know it makes it hard to decide with a calendar jam packed with events, but here’s a challenge for you - see how many different events you can squeeze into one day. We dare you!
September 13 has three dinners to choose from and three different tours with various itineraries. On the weekend, along with more tours and dinners, you’ll find winery events, weekend getaways, Valley Vineyards at the Wolfville Farmers’ Market and of course the infamous Magic Winery Bus. So make room in your calendar because from now until October 14, it’s all about Nova Scotia wine.
Fall Wine Festival dinners on Thursday, September 13:
Halifax: Check out the Avondale Sky Winery and Harbour City Bar and Grill Winemaker’s Dinner where Winemaker Ben Swetman and Chef Les Stevens will present food and wine pairings during a fun, informative and mouth watering event.
Wolfville: Join the always entertaining Mike Mainguy, winemaker from Luckett Vineyards, for the Winemaker’s Dinner at Privet House. Chef Jamie Smye will prepare a set menu including pairings of delicious Nova Scotia wines with amazing local cuisine.
Pictou: Starting tomorrow and running throughout the festival, Pictou Lodge Beach Resort will be featuring a flavourful four course dinner menu insert paired with Nova Scotia wines and all in a beautiful setting during the fall season on the Northumberland Shore.
